Hidden Paradise: A Journey into Serene Tranquility

When I first arrived in Son Parc, I thought I was missing out on many beautiful places scattered across the rest of Menorca. I presumed there were hidden beaches that were waiting to be discovered. True, there were. However, my favorite spot continued to be in Son Parc. Nestled beneath a cliff, there resides a locale that few people know and where even fewer boats venture. Viewed from the top of the Camí de Cavalls, this sight will capture your heart instantly.

A peak emerges, dividing two small bays; the one on the right is smaller and rocky, while on the left, the ideal beach awaits- its turquoise blue waters unspoiled. There's a sea rock jaggedly jutting out in the heart of the sea, making the view even more majestic. Nearby, rock formations conceal caves, a treasure trove for those keen on diving.

The inevitable downside, as some might say, is that the beach is stony. The path to reach the beach is complex, especially following this year's torrential rains that have wreaked havoc on the already complicated track. The task of navigating the pathway has become even more challenging, yet this little-known paradise remains worth the effort.

The best time to visit is in the morning as the sun bathes the landscape in light. By the afternoon, the place bathes in soothing shadows. It's not uncommon to spot goats leisurely strolling along the cliffs. Also, one can spot dogs skillfully clambering up and down the rocky slope within a minute, while you take a good fifteen minutes to navigate the descent.

Sitting on the rocks, gazing out towards the horizon, equates to meditating. The tranquility is palpitating; you can hear nothing but the rhythmic sound of the waves against the rocks. It's a place that not only allows but ensures that you are enveloped in a sense of serene happiness. Son Parc offers many experiences that are difficult to quantify but impossible to forget.
